Thanks @MI5 i found the texts were Greek numbers, that I had texted a month ago. The O2 extra charges need to be shown in date order otherwise they appear to be today.

This happened to me on a visit to Ireland. O2 did not know why I couldn’t make a phone call but could use data. It turned out that I had asked for a bar on premium numbers and they applied the bar to international calls and text, hence my difficulty.

This is why I gave up a few weeks ago! There are a limit to the number of attempts to post a message, and it foils me. Before this the reason for failure is wrong HTMLI have not successfully sent any messages today.
