Our O2 Wifi is getting stronger and faster every day!
We’ve announced a partnership to provide Costa, the UK’s largest coffee shop chain, with free O2 Wifi. Yippee! Now you can enjoy sipping that delicious coffee or tea while staying connected to the free internet
More info at O2 News Centre and O2 Blog. What other locations would you like to see our O2 Wifi next?

As O2 offer free wifi on their network will the 30 min rule apply to them?
O2 Wifi is free however with our partnership with Costa, you can use the first 30 mins for free each day and if you wish to stay online for longer than 30 mins, you can join the Coffee Club membership.

You are a dreamer Adam. Looked into this for our church hall which is used by various national organisations and for day conference meetings. Shall we say it was not cost effective.

I'm not too sure how they could differentiate between mere customers, Costa members or any O2 user unless they have some sophisticated means of recognising you are using the O2 network? And would that pick up on ported numbers?

Don't they use the MAC address of your phone to identify you. That's how BT Openzone works. Your device is recorded in your O2 Wifi account.
