@Rezwan

You don't need to unlock to use a giffgaff sim in an O2 phone.

If you are having phone issues, I'd suggest you speak to Apple https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Another thing o2 phones on contract are no longer locked to o2. At least thus is what I read. I am sure I swapped a three sim into mine and it worked OK.

That is correct since around April 2018 @anticpated, however, we don't know which iPhone the OP has or when bought.

Even so, a giffgaff sim will work even if the phone is locked to O2.

@Rezwan Did this phone by any chance come through Carphone Warehouse as they used to sim lock handsets to the first sim card used

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Good news, as I said, a gg sim should work regardless of lock status.
