I used to have wifi calling on my Samsung s20 and it has not stopped and there is no on/ off toggle available for me to turn it on. Why has it disappeared?

Turn off phone and remove sim card.

Turn phone back on and wait for phone to fully boot up, then replace the sim with the phone turned on.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi

I wondering whether you can help me with the same problem on my Samsung S20?  I've followed the suggested steps and the wifi calling option appears.  However, the wifi option no longer shows when I turn off my device and turn back on again and I have to repeat the process again.  Surely, this can't be correct?

I've spoken to Samsung who suggested doing a factory reset which didn't work.  I've also spoken to O2 and am now waiting for a call back from someone in tech.

This this been going on for 5 days now and it's driving me mad!!  Any help you can give to solve this issue would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Try this instead..

Activate flight mode

Remove sim and reboot phone

Insert sim while flight mode is still active Select wifi calling and switch off flight mode

This is another workaround.

This is a known bug with the update to Android 11 and OneUI 3.0

I know Samsung are working to ensure it doesn't happen on other updates....
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Many thanks for your quick replies

I'll just have to accept that if I want wifi calling I will need to go through the process of removing and re-inserting my SIM after my phone has been turned off.  I wish Samsung had told me this.  Let's hope the next update resolves this issue.

At least I know where to come first in future for a straight answer.  Thanks again.
