I have a brand new Samsung A51 handset purchased from Amazon and have found that it can't use Wifi calling or voice over Lte. This is really annoying as the only reason I switched to O2 was this facility. Do O2 ever intend to support Wifi calling on unlocked handsets or should I think of cancelling my contract?

@Eeyore

Your handset is already supported https://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-and-4g-calling

You need to call O2 to enable wifi calling on your account, then turn it on in your MyO2.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thank you @MI5 for telling me that the info on Samsung setup on the o2 website  is wrong. The eventual solution (from calling the helpdesk) was that I needed to manually change the APN (Access Point Name). This was originally auto-provisioned with the SIM to "O2 Pay Monthly" and needed to be changed to "o2 Internet" with lots of subsidiary config that was provided by email. I won't post the full config as it may contain security information. Now calling on LTE and WiFi very happily.
