Voicemail not working - can't access messages

I've had ongoing problems with my voicemail for over a year. I can't access messages. It asks for pin which I put in .it tells me how many messages I have but
then won't let me access them just keeps asking for pin again then says its not valid. Wont let me reset pin either . Ive spent hours on hold to customer service and each time they suggest I do something different ( which means hanging up) but nothing suggested works and I have to ring back ( and sit on hold for ages). I've been told several times an expert will ring me back within 24 hours but they never do. Any advice welcome
