I've received notification that I've been sent a new SIM which will only function in a 5G phone.  My phone isn't 5G - what do I do?

The message is misleading in that all new SIM cards are able to operate on 5G, 4G, 3G and even 2G

It will work fine in any phone

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Brock

All 5G sims are backwards compatible. Therefore should work with 4G.

I have a 5G sim but can only get 4G in my area and it works well.

Thank-you for your replies and it looks like I won't have a problem.

However, O2 sending a message which states:  'Compatible with 5G Devices ONLY' when it isn't factually correct, does worry me about the level of service I'm going to receive from them.

That's just the start of the ineptitude @Brock

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
