Hi folks

I have retrieved the IMEI code: just need to know how to apply for an unlock code.

  • Web site instructions say use the "More" menu tab. I think this is long gone, certainly it's not there for me.
  • I've tried live chat. Never seems to be a human being available.
  • Customer service? Assuming that they can do this, which is the best telephone number ?

Is there any other method that I am missing?

Thanks in anticipation of any advice.

I think this is fixed (in that I found a page that accepted the IMEI code) thanks to the link contained in this forum post.

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-SIM-card/ba-p/1...

The link I clicked routed me to here:

https://mymobile.o2.co.uk/unlockdevice

I'm now waiting to see if it works.

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Well found wink

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
