Purchased a new iPad as Christmas treat. Comes with new number and bundle of free messages. Whilst I can get the IPad to mirror messages sent to my Iphone number I cannot receive or send messages from the new number linked to the free text bundle which I want to use. Spoken to Apple who have confirmed that carrier issue and spent the last 3 hours going round in circles following guidelines in O2 app and online without success. Anyone have any suggestions?

iPads can't do sms messages natively I'm afraid @JESSY

You need iPhone to support to function https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208386

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

And herein lies the problem with calling people "genius's", who don't know or don't want to admit, that iPads don't have sms functionality.
