Unable to receive international text messages [to UK phone]

I'm based in the UK and have been unable to receive text messages sent to my phone from outside the UK. I was a Virgin customer until the migration last month. Has anyone else experienced this? I phoned 02 - no help - a technician will get in touch apparently. Need it sorted soon!

Dont expect a call back from anyone at o2, as the Cape Town call centre, lie and dont know there bum from there elbow, and will do anything to get you off the phone..
