Let me get this right 

I've put £10 on my phone account. 

I only use this once a week to phone for a taxi home from the supermarket. 

I don't use it to access the Internet. 

If I've not made £10 worth of calls in a month the balance in credit just disappears?

That can't be right 😳

You are on the wrong tariff. You need the Classic PAYG, available from Tesco or Giffgaff. They are both on the O2 network. You simply pay for what you use. There is an even better offer with this company which is worth a look https://www.1pmobile.com/
