Strange fault

Hello

 

When I receive calls from certain numbers my phone rings but the person calling cannot hear me, and I have to call them back and the call works fine.

 

On investigation the person calling hears no ringing and their phone does not show that the call has been answered. This does not happen on all calls, only when receiving calls from certain people.

 

I know it is not my phone as I have tried a different sim card (also from o2) and the problem no longer happens when receiving calls from the same people. I have contacted o2 and exchanged my sim card but the problem persists.

 

Any ideas & and thanks in advance?

What network are the other callers on? As it could be a fault on the other side, especially if the person hears no dialling tone, or has been answered. 

Have they spoken to their network?

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Tried explaining to the nice lady from o2 but don't think she understood. I thought they may have tech assistance on here.

 

The 3 people I know it happens with are on different networks, however the fact they say it only happens with me points to it being a problem my end.

Try social media as they may have access to better tech support
