South Africa - not receiving texts

I’m in South Africa and haven’t received any text messages since I have been here (7 days). Things I have tried:

- had test SMS sent from multiple senders including O2. None received. 

- airplane mode off/on

- phone reboot (multiple)

- manually selected different networks

- reset network settings

- multiple message chats with o2 support all of which suggested variants of the above but seemed unable to unidentify root cause. 

Any bright ideas?

I checked that thread, I even replied on it. There’s no solution that I can see.

I doubt O2 can influence what texts you receive when roaming.

It will be down to the receiving networks.
