Hi, my service is down and I have gone through all of the steps on the website, what shall I do now, also my sky broadband is down so I was wondering if this would be linked ?

It's unlikely to be linked to your broadband issue. It's just bad luck both have hit at the same time.
Check for issues here O2 Service Status
If no issues are reported you need to try a different sim in your phone or your sim in another phone and see which the fault follows.
If you need a new sim, you can get one for free from your local O2 store.
