My Samsung S7 battery is failing to charge, so I have ordered a replacement smartphone on-line.

It is a reconditioned Samsung S8.

I inserted my O2 SIM and I get the message:

SIM network PIN blocked   Enter SIM network PUK

I spent nearly on hour on phone to O2 Customer Services, they gave me an 8 digit code which was unsuccessful, then another 8 digit code which was also unsuccessful, followed by two obvious 4 digit codes. Also, unsuccessful.

Any ideas, please?

SIM Network PUK on a Samsung  indicates that the phone has been locked to a Network other than O2

Two options, speak to the vendor and get them to unlock it, or get it unlocked yourself at a phone repair shop.

Nothing O2 can do

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

It will also now require a NUK as you've tried the wrong code too many times.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

3 to 5 depending on the firmware.

Five according to Samsung, but it looks like you will need the aforementioned NUK code.

As I mentioned you may be best paying and getting it unlocked at one of the many repair shops that offer unlocking.

Otherwise you will need to find the original network that locked the phone and they may have their own restrictions on who can get it unlocked.

I'm not sure where you bought the phone but is there any chance you can return it?

Was it described as unlocked?

Only Samsung can provide the NUK and needs to be requested through the network that locked the phone.
