Number not ported

I ordered a SIM only last week and gave a PAC number and old number to port on the order. After inserting and activating my new SIM nothing happened.

Eventually I managed to speak to someone on Wednesday who said there was a technical fault and the number had not ported. I gave him the PAC number and old number verbally and he passed them to his back office and said it would be sorted. At 8 o'clock last night I received an automated telephone call saying the old number would stop working in 2 hours. 15 hours later my old number and phone are still working and my new SIM still has the temporary number it came with. Is this normal?

No it's not normal but nothing will happen now over the weekend.

You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (contract) 4445 or 0344 8090222 (PAYG)

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
