New sim but can’t message to ‘SWAP’

Hi there, I was unable to get any data on my old sim, it would make calls only. I have been sent a new sim and asked to keep my number.  I have received a new SIM card and was told to text 20220 ‘SWAP’ However the text will not send, I assume because I am not yet on O2. I am on my wifi. Can anyone help please?

Follow the guide Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update , but it needs to be initiated from the old sim card.

If you still cant do the swap you will need to call o2 on 0344 809 0202
