New phone

I have anew phone which is 5g. Can I put my sim from my 4G J5 in to an S20 5G phone or do I use the sim which has come with the new phone and transfer the number?  I am not transferring network.

You can use your old sim but will only get 4G. If you have a 5G phone and are in a 5G area then you need to do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
