I received an email yesterday saying I was at 50% of my spend cap, am unaware what this is, and, once again I am having problems logging into my account

Scammers and spammers thank you for posting your mobile number on a public forum and you are liable for anything that comes of this. 

 

it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. if you send them a message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), or you can call 202 from your o2 phone

Your spend cap allows you to make chargable calls or texts that fall outside of your allowance.

For example, I have a £10 spend cap and I have just used a shortcode text that cost 15p, leaving me £9.85

Whatever spend cap you have the text is to say you have use half.

I would get one @ the £5 level

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Can you log in online https://mymobile.o2.co.uk/ ?
If so, try deleting the app, rebooting your phone and then reinstall the app.
