On occasion having difficulty hearing callers on my mobile, when I answer the call it sounds as though I am plunging my phone in water and I cant hear callers and they cannot hear me.  I have tried re-starting the phone and sometimes this helps but it hasn't these last couple of times, it does usually correct itself eventually but this time it hasn't which is not helpful.  At work and at home we have normally have good 4G coverage when not connected to our wifi but when my phone is playing up like this I barely have anything at all the signal strength isn't as good as usual either.  Any advice appreciated.

@JJ63

I'd start with a new sim in case yours is faulty.

Call into an O2 store, if you have one nearby, and they will supply you with a new sim and activate it for you. Be sure to bring identification with you.
Alternatively, speak to customer service.
Call 0344 809 0202, 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Also check this guide for help Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
