Huawei Mate P20 Pro Locked pattern code

Hi,

 

Desperate for some help please..............

 

I have either forgotten or my patterned unlock on my Huawei Mate P20 Pro has locked and I can't gain access to my phone.

 

Have sussed that I can do a hard reset, but then lose everything off of my phone, really want to avoid that if I can, is there anyway of doing a "forgotten passcode" or similar?

 

Really grateful for any advice. I've exhausted all avenues.

Keep entering a wrong pattern around 10 times and it will ask if you want to login with your Google account details.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
OnePlus 6 (O2 & Sfr), Z3 Tablet (Three UK), iPhone 8+ (EE)

Thanks for the quick reply @MI5 however, it is now saying I have to wait one hour and then try again, then I only get 2 attempts, then it blocks me for another hour. Nothing about login with my Google account......... Any ideas please?

No other way I know of but it will give you the option eventually.

Thank you, I've just entered the pattern unlock again and failed, blocked me for another hour, perhaps I need to do this 10 times? 

 

I'll give it a go anyway, last resort is a hard reset.

You'll still need the pattern lock to do a hard reset.

Ah!! that's not good.

 

Will hope that this Google login kicks in with each failed pttern attempt then, fingers crossed.
