How do I know my number has been transferred to O2?

I recently took out a new contract with O2 and used my PAC code from vodafone at the time of purchase.

I was informed when my SIM arrives all I would need to do is put the SIM into my phone and activate it; but since doing this I haven't had any confirmation that the process has started.

Is there some way I can find out?

Once you give your PAC to O2 you should receive a text advising you of the date the port will be processed
