This article may be of help to people at a venue or other situation who are struggling with an over-stretched 5G service.

It used to be that better performance came with a step down from LTE 4G to 3G when a mast was over-subscribed, but as 3G's days are numbered, this article talks to the new issue of 5G and 4G and locking your phone onto one or the other - it is technical, so perhaps the key items could be distilled into one of the existing Guides here on the Forum, some day 🫣

Good you shared this for those unaware @pgn

Worth mentioning 3, EE & Voda will have completed switching off 3G next year, but O2 have not even started.

They are switching off now to increase capacity of their 5G services. Not saying the others will offer better 5G services than O2 in the future but don’t be surprised if they do.
