I’m leaving o2 you have just ruined my sons 1st birthday by taking my last £45 from your direct debit scheme. I never set up this account you’ve just taken my last bit of money . Unfortunately, if you owe money, any company will collect it in the end.
If you know you have bills due, they should be budgeted for.
You can always talk to payment management if you need help with bills.

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling.
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
You can also try saying "Upgrade" or "Fraud" to be connected to an advisor.

As @MI5 says if you owe the money, then o2 have every right to collect it. And they don't know your personal situation unless you tell them.
And for o2 to collect you must have given them the bank details...
Also to note, if you do leave o2 and are in contract then you will liable for any termination fees, and the device plan must be paid off in full.
