How do I find out what is eating all my data allowance?

I can’t see a break down of data heavy apps via ‘My O2’

Look in the data section of your phone settings.

thanks, is that under ‘mobile data’ on an iPhone?

Yes, Settings >Mobile data and scroll down, but it will show all usage since you last reset it on an iPhone so you need to remember to reset it monthly for an accurate account.
