Data roaming in Turkey

I was in Turkey last week. On arrival my iPhone 12 mini auto selected ‘Turkcell’ network. I received a text from O2 offering a 100MB bolt on for data roaming - I accepted it, and received confirmation. However, with all the seemingly right settings, I was unable to access data roaming for the whole week.

Any advice welcome as this week I’m travelling to Vietnam. (Everything worked perfectly in Greece (EU) a few weeks back.

When abroad, change your data apn to "mobile.o2.co.uk"

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
