@SKE - Dial 1760 to turn off voicemail and see what happens.

Guide: All you need to know about O2 Voicemail 901

Also as you are not receiving SMS, you may find help from O2 is needed, either via 202 if Contract, or 4445 if PAYG... or reach out to O2's Social Media Team, the ways are in the link just below this message. Good luck!

Hi, tried all those, didn't work.

Spoke to customer services, they couldn't help.

As this contract was part of  a virgin package upgrade, I'm told that if I cancel O2 mobile account it will affect the new virgin package.

I've now got a mobile I can't receive calls and messages on.

Did you get a new O2 SIM in the deal, @SKE? Is it a contract, pay monthly number?

Ring O2 on 202 at around 08:10am and insist they help. Or take the phone and SIM and a bill and photo id into an O2 shop and don't leave until fixed.

If you got a deal with Volt, then cancelling the phone will mean paying off the device balance and losing your Volt Boost in the broadband component.

So persist with O2.
