hi, I've bought a A71 for my mum and transferred all from her A8 with no issues apart from emails. Error messages are sign in error and POP3/IMAP not turned on for this account. I have followed the advice on 02 help which took me through google-gmail and adding new account. Appeared to work then error message appeared again within 15mins. So I know have Gmail set up with btinternet details and Email with btinternet details but neither working. Emails have transferred onto the phone but not syncing.
Any help much appreciated as unsure what else to try. Thank you

Hi @kellie1

Are the incoming and outgoing server settings set to mail.btinternet.com, once auto config has completed?

Hi thanks for message, I'm followed the 02 guide that suggested full email address for incoming then mail.btinternet.com for outgoing. Is this incorrect?

@kellie1

You need to follow this guide by BT which shows none default email ports.

This should then setup the email on the A71 you need to use the IMAP settings.

Thanks again for help. Was still having difficulty and noticed along the top of screen (pull down screen) that there was a security symbol. This was a wifi security thingy ma bob!, I've either not noticed and accepted it or it's sneaked in on its own. All appears to be working now I've stopped it running slight_smile
