Age verification on mifi

Hi there I'm trying to get my age verified on O2 and it says will send two codes to my mobile to do so. Only problem is that my 'mobile number' is actually an unlocked SIM card that I am using to run my mifi router in my holiday house so I cant access any codes, as I would were that sim in a phone. So do I have to get the SIM card out of the router and swap it for the one currently in my phone to make this work, or is there ideally some other way round this problem? Thanks
