2 Phones, 2 Sims, Same number…is this possible?

Recently had my phone snatched on the street in London where I work, as you can imagine I’m a little paranoid now that it could happen again.

What I was wondering was, could I have 2 phones, both using a SIM card with the same phone number on it? My thought process was that if I could use a cheap phone whilst working, and if it got snatched again, I wouldn’t be quite so upset. But I could still be able to use my nicer phone when in a less risky environment.

Does anyone know if this is possible at all?

@Chris5150

Sorry no, it's not possible to do.

I hope you reported the previous loss to O2 Guide: Lost or Stolen O2 Device? - How to Report it

I am wondering whether some sort of call forwarding arrangement might work for you ?

Leave your best 'phone at home and carry with you a cheap PAYG but remember to forward calls from your best handset before you set out. It is a bit of a bother but it might do what you want ?

Except won't be able to call from the "best" number.
