I recieved my new sim yesterday (thursday 9th Dec 2021). I proceeded to follow the 3 steps in the panflet that my sim came with. I only managed step 1 (insert sim into phone), step 2 was top up via "My O2" or call 4444. I tried both and they failed in this process.

I decided to fill in the form to swap the new phone number with my old number using my PAC reference number. Today my phone came alive to the O2 network. I topped up my sim with £10 (even though my balance on "My O2" still says nothing in it).

I then proceeded to step 3. Text a message to a number to get a free £10 credit. The message reply was that "This reward is not for me".. What has gone wrong here?

Credit is exchanged for allowances so credit is usually zero unless you top up more than your bundle requires https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-as-you-go/big-bundles

To obtain the free credit you may need to wait a few days or contact O2 to request it is added.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
