Did you get this as an upgrade for a phone/deal you had before or is this the first phone @JC13 ?

If an upgrade, the new tariff is on your old sim so you should use that.

If you now have a 5G phone, and live in or travel to a 5G area then you can do a sim swap to the new sim.

Follow the instructions in the guide below.

Hi @gmarkj Thanks for the reply, i have had the deal before but went from a iphone (4G) to google pixel 6pro (5G), so do i have to wait to travel to a 5G area to swap sims? i just thought the new sim would work as i haven't changed numbers just moved to 5G.

@JC13 Your location doesn't matter where you are when you swap sims. 5G sims are backward compatible.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

As @Bambino says, you can do the sim swap anywhere you have connection to the network @JC13 .

Make sure you follow the guide (or instructions on the sim pack) - you MUST start the sim swap from the old phone otherwise things will go wrong...
