Hello

Can I port my O2 number to another network and get a new number for this contract and therefore keep this contract until the end date?

As far as I'm aware this can't be done. Porting your number to another network will effectively close your account and you would have to pay off the remaining minimum period.

You would have thought so!

Everytime I have asked this of any network they have not been able to do it.

As Jonsie says it cant be done don't really see why they cant charge you for the new number though and let you port your current one but that's just me

Exactly right!

It's one of those things, if we are honest they CAN do it.  They just either:

1) Don't have the systems or process' in place

2) Don't want to do it

Hi

i tried to do this last month.

I wanted to port a number from a personal contract (my 22yr old sons phone) to a new account in his name and port a business no on o2, to the old personal contract.

A flat refusal.

John
