so I upgraded myself online, all carphone warehouse shops have been shut down in my area, I told them the situation that my old phones been smashed by my son and I can’t get my old sim out it’s that bad.

anyway I go ahead and upgrade but my new phone won’t call out ?? Help

Hi @NNJones99 - presumably your new phone was ordered from O2?

You will need to contact O2 to have the shipping bar removed, numbers here: Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support -- call early, 08:15 is usually best, to get on the queue and not just hung-up on.

Also, as your old SIM is unusable, the new SIM should have your original number on it - but check with O2 at the same time, as your old SIM is unusable and possibly damaged so badly you cannot read the numbers off it to do a physical or automated on-line SIM swap.

Good luck with your new phone, and keep it well out of son's reach 😉
