My daughter has just left me to pay a huge phone bill after a trip to Russia, how do I make sure that this doesn't happen again..can I cap it so she can't use the phone when it hits her contract limit?

AFAIK you cannot cap a contract phone on O2 as such. You may be able to get Roaming turned off so the phone won't work abroad.
If you are near the end of your contract Tesco Mobile are now doing capped contracts which they are marketing to parents!

T-Mobiles You Fix tariff may be what you need, hope it's ok to mention that given that O2 does not offer anything similar.

You can ring O2 and ask that data charges be capped at 40 GBP per month.
I know thats still alot, but at least your a bit in control.
And hey ... get her to use WIFI.

You don't ask for this, it is automatically applied to all contracts, though you can ask for it to be raised to £120 if you want to use more data abroad.
