@sam6669

Have you turned MOBILE DATA off?  If so you can check in your phone settings to see what you apps you are using the most.

However, if you have mobile data turned off at all times and only using wifi constantly, your data should not be getting used at all.

I only ever turn mobile data on my phone when I am away from home and wifi.

@sam6669

Are you using Wifi as a hotspot, or your mums mobile data?

Here's the difference

Share a mobile connection by tethering or hotspot on Android

You can use your phone’s mobile data to connect another phone, tablet or computer to the Internet. Sharing a connection this way is called tethering or using a hotspot.

Most Android phones can share mobile data by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB.

Important: Some mobile operators limit or charge extra for tethering. We recommend checking with your operator.

Tether by Wi-Fi hotspot Step 1: Turn on your phone's hotspot
  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Network and Internet And then Hotspot and tethering And then Wi-Fi hotspot.
  3. Turn on Wi-Fi hotspot.
  4. To see or change a hotspot setting, such as the name or password, tap it. If needed, first tap Set up Wi-Fi hotspot.

So if it's the first one then you ARE using data.

Yes, see the first sentence.

"You can use your phone’s mobile data to connect another phone, tablet or computer to the Internet. Sharing a connection this way is called tethering or using a hotspot".

No, you are using your mum's data.
