just looked at the contracts and there's only 24mth offers, I'm on a 12mth contract, what's happened?

12 month handset contracts are kind of a dying breed. its mainly 24 month ones on offer. You can still get 30 day / 12 month simcard only contracts.

It's only Voda I've seen offering 12 month contracts with the obviously high monthly costs that go with them......

You could also take out a Refresh contract and upgrade after 12 months, just by paying off the phone price.

I think tesco do 12 month contracts as well

Tesco and Vodafone do offer 12 month contracts yes. In reality my experience is that it works out cheaper in most cases to buy sim free and add a12 month tescomobile sim rather than a 12 or 24 month contract.

If course it does depend if you can afford the £400 - £650 cost of the new top of the range handset.
