O2 allow a max of 8gb.
Unlimited data is not possible due to the number of customers that O2 has - It would overload the system and make it slow and unusable (In the same way as Three suffers in big city's).
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

well using another company that uses the o2 network that has unlimited data may help if o2 is the only operator in your rural location look at giffgaff (owned by telefonica) runs on the o2 network

Tethering is not allowed on the gg unlimited package though so only can be used on your phone and not for linking to your laptop/PC.....

Yes, as adam says, GiffGaff uses the O2 network and offers unlimited data, but only 3G at the moment. I believe they are meant to be rolling out 4G next month, but have not published any tariffs as yet, or said they will offer unlimited on 4G.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
