What are the chances of an improved network near me? Broken promises....

I've been a customer of O2 for the best part of 6 years and the service I get hasn't changed since. I live in a fairly average sized town and the best data I receive is GPRS.

My wife is on orange (or EE as it is now) and has had 3G reception for years now.

There is a lot of hype over 4G but to be honest i'd just like to be able to use my phone away from WIFI.

When I recently upgraded my contract I was told that the service was moving to 3G really soon (I told the customer services I was sick of the GPRS and this was the reason I was changing networks).

I feel like im just being strung along now and the service upgrade was misrepresented (this being the only reason I stayed with O2).

Can anyone (Preferably 02) tell me whether my mast will ever be upgraded and if not whether I have grounds to cancel my contract?

I'm at TS14 7LZ.  I'd also be interested to hear if anyone else is having the same back in the "stoneage coverage" after being promised improvement.

I'm surprised you haven't moved to another provider after 6 years.

You have a 2G service so you cannot cancel your contract.

You do not have 3G coverage from O2 in your area, and they are not under any obligation to provide it (although they may well be doing by 2015), so any complaint will fail:

The service as O2 quote it for your area:

Hi.

We are all customers here so it's unlikely an official response would follow.

Here us the complaint form.

I would have requested a PAC Code and moved to a network that offers a more stable connection.

I am now very confused you said you upgraded in your opening post.

Now you say you have unlimited data.

O2 stopped unlimited data over 3 years ago?
