Weird HOOVER Hair Drier Sounds during ANY call PLEASE HELP

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi there,

At random when I make or receive calls daily, I randomly hear some weird strange feedback like sounds that sound like a HOOVER/ Hairdryer. This is now a daily occurrence and I am forced to terminate my calls and left with no other option than to keep trying again. This only tends to happen in my local area of Croydon and surrounding towns and villages. It's getting a tad embarrassing though as now getting negative feedback from my GiffGaff recruits. Luckily I have Libon and I managed to get a copy of the call emailed to me in MP3 format so I will try and upload it to a FREE file sharing website like YouTube etc....

I have managed to retrieve the recording of this sound and I have uploaded it to my Google Drive. Here is an MP3 recording of an VOICEMAIL left on my answerphone.

(UPDATE:smileyhappy:
Here is a link to a video I uploaded on to YouTube to make it more uinversaly friendly.
http://youtu.be/tirMbHR0BoI

Hopefully this will now BAFFLE you like it DOES me.
What do I now need to do next please advise

Cheers

Hi

check your service status to see if the masts are at fault.

http://status.o2.co.uk

We have known this to be like a bad connection via the networks. Try switching to 2G by turning off 3G in your phones settings.

Try turning the phone off and on to reboot it.

Sometimes a case or screen shield can cause issues.

Check the speakers for lint.

You could have the phone looked at by the manufacturer by busting their uk support site and send it off.

Let us know how you get on.

As you are on giffgaff you should really stick to getting support on their forum.
O2 CS will not talk to you nor be able to see your account.....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Try getting a new sim and activate it when logged into your account on the gg website so it swaps your account details and credit/goodybags over.

Its nothing to do with 3G as the phone a friend is using is a budget £15 christmas cracker mobile phone. So that rules that out!

The support from GiffGaff is shockingly BAD! The support is from people who only know how to fix mms settings etc. GIFFGAFF tell me its because I need to manual roam but thats not the solution! They now tell me NOT their problem and its down to O2 to fix it! No one at GIFFGAFF has even had the decentcy to let o2 know there is a fault and just tell me not there problem speak to O2. Now I see your telling me NOT o2's problem as it's GIFFGAFFS problem yet neither of both parties accepted liability for the fault alight here and just continue to pass the buck. Perhaps i now need to speak to OffCom because Im getting no kind of help here! (PS) my parents are customers of o2 for over 20+yrs til date. I was with o2 til the birth of GiffGaff and was a happy satisfied customer when it came to support with o2 and should GG dissapear then I would happily reconnect to O2. However I'm now starting to see a different picture being painted. I hope its not because one day I can see a possible return back to o2.

Here is a link to the thread on GG support. I'm sure once you see this you can see examples of some of the incompetent experienced support agents.

giffgaffs problem is their reward system - People write any old rubbish just to get a payback every month...I have advised you to change your sim card - If that doesn't fix it there is nothing we can do here for you as it will be a network issue that you need to report to a gg agent.
