Apologies up front if this is a stupid question. I have a Moto g(8) phone, which is pretty basic but it does what I need it to do. I plan to travel to the USA shortly and I've wondered how I can use my phone over there. I'll be travelling around a bit and the phone is really just for insurance in the case of breakdown. Am I correct in thinking that I could switch on 'roaming' just to make a call and then switch it off afterwards? What would be the extra cost, above my monthly payments, for doing this?

@victim31150

Cost depends on your tariff.

Covered in this guide Guide: Roaming MegaGuide

You also need 4g calling enabled to make calls in USA USA - Roaming with O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
