Upgrading From Business Tarriff to personal.

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all,

My business contract ended a while ago although i have carried on with the tariff.

I would now like to upgrade to a difference tariff, but its on the personal site.

Can i upgrade bertween the two and keep my number?

I am currently on a small biz 3GB, and would like to change to the 20GB sim only deal on the personal site however, i would need to keep my current number.

Thanks

It is very simple as long as your business account is directly with O2 and not one of their business trusted partners such as Aerial.

Have a look at the reply here from an O2 employee :

Hi @Anonymous I don't think there will be any problem with this. You are after all taking out a new contract (or upgrading) after your current business contract has ended.http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=Companion,question=ref(User):str(Business),CASE=56145

Just choose the device and tariff that you want from the online store ...and then you will need to fill in the keep your number form http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

The change from business to personal is not too difficult Having done it last year.

You need to take out the consumer tariff then contact business customer services 8002 to arrange the swap to consumer but are you out of your minimum term.

I note that the new support pages make no mention of business to personal.

I will try and dig out the old links.

@adamtemp64 To clarify, OP said their contract has ended but they carried on with the tariff, presumably on a one month rolling basis.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Hi all and thanks,

I have just been on chat and the process is (as mentioned above) very easy!

Just ordered the new sim, once that has arrived, i get back in contact and they will transfer the number and close the business account.

I dont think i have renewed the contract as i bought my most recent phone and just swapped the sim.

On my contract dates page, it states tht the end date was Dec2015

Shouldn't be any problem with the transfer from what you have said.
Let us know if it all goes smoothly.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

All good as the other have said.

The reason for asking about contract end is that some of the trusted partner business accounts actully get extended and people find they are trapped.
