I recently upgraded from a pay monthly contact to a sim only contract at £10 a month. Yesterday I got charged £33.68 from my old contract and I’m not sure why?

Did you change mid month as the bill be prorated.

If not, check your bill via My o2
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu

Are you sure you upgraded? Some people in error, take out a new contract.

Alternatively you may have had the remainder of your contract to pay.

You need to contact O2 and check with them. All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

I changed at the end of my contract as I got a notification from O2 saying I can upgrade.

My bill via my O2 says my bill is £10 monthly which is correct but I got charged £33.68 yesterday which was the tariff of my old contract

The number ending in 4005 is best.

You will have an additional month/part of month to pay on your old contract @JoshuaOkorom 

It's all date dependent. ie when you upgraded and when your old contract bill is due.

My grandson upgraded on May 25th. His payment date was June 8th. His old contract payment was taken out of the bank in June. It will be the sim only price in July.
