Upgraded - asked for a new sim but I want to keep existing number

Hi,

I upgrade my phone yesterday, and received the new phone today. When purchasing the phone I just ticked I needed a new SIM not really thinking, however I want to keep my number. The new phone came with a new sim obviously but I’m wondering if I put this in the new phone will I have a new number? Or do I just need to move my existing SIM over to the new phone?

Yes old SIM will have your upgrade moved to it automatically and will continue to work as normal.

Ok, I’ve been texting someone as a test and they say it’s coming up with my email so like iMessage not text/number

also switch off message header in message settings
