Hi. I have an android phone which is locked to O2. I am in Australia and want to use a local SIM. I have received my unlatch code from O2 but it is unsuccessful. Do I need to be in the UK to unlock it?

No requirement to be in UK to unlock.

Sounds like you got the wrong code or phone is already hardlocked.

Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
