URGENT help with my number transfer

I paid off the remainder of my device today so that I could move my O2 mobile number across to my new O2 SIM on my new contract. They did change of ownership of number so that it could be moved across even though I was the owner of both numbers?

Anyway, my mobile number that I want to keep has just been cut off!

My new SIM hasn't updated with my number and is still on the temporary number.

I can't lose my mobile number! And it's typical that bloody O2 are closed now that I'm panicking and can't speak to anybody!

Does anyone know if this is normal practice or have they majorly messed up?

The number did transfer over automatically from what I remember after speaking to O2 numerous times, it took ages though! If this has happened to you, I would still recommend calling O2 customer services when they open in the morning.
