Trying to cancel contract/plan that's been unused all year

So I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) back in September 2019 for a 36 month plan and 2GB a month, and traded it into the nearest O2 store back last December because I just wasn't using it at all. That, and I had bought a laptop to use for Uni lectures instead. I couldn't afford to pay off the remaining months, so I kept the plan going - I've been wasting £8 a month for 10 months now because of my financial anxiety. If I had paid it off back in January or something, I'd make a bigger hole in my bank account but wouldn't have the £8 a month chipping away at it.

Now I've had 10 months on this plan completely unused, and the 36 months is up, I want to try and cancel the contract immediately. I don't have the device because I traded it in, and so I can't call 202 on an O2 device. I doubt I'd be able to get any sort of refund for the £80 unused plan but I figured I might as well cancel it now so it doesn't suck any more money out of me.

Is there any way I can cancel it quick and easily? I don't want such a massive pain to cancel something that has sucked my money for 10 months for nothing (my fault, I know...)

If you are on 36 months and it has come to an end then the payments will stop for the device.

The payments for the SIM will continue but you can simply give notice to leave with no extra charges.

Best contacting O2
