Text and web bolt on...

Anonymous
Not applicable
On my current pay and go SIM I have the old text and web bolt on; top up £10 a month and get unlimited texts to any network, I understand you can't get this bolt on anymore?
The problem is I entered a competition by text and any credit I put on the phone instantly dissappears. I still get my free texts but I also want to use my voicemail and call people but can't because balance is always £0.00!
O2 say they cannot block the company taking my credit so I'l have to get a new SIM and number, but then I'l loose my text and web unlimited bolt-on?
Any way around this?

If it was a premium rate short code you can go to phonepayplus the regulator
You can cancel any premium rate subscripton by the stop or stop all reply.
Go to the phonepayplus website and enter the shortcode and you can see who runs the service and how to stop or complan.

hope that helps

No nothing at all. I top up my £10 on a certain day every month to get my free unlimited texts. Check my balance a few minutes later and its around £3. Then a few days later I will try and make a call and find the balance £0.00!

which competition did you enter??? you must have a number unless you have cleared your text sent folder???
Are you sure credit is going there and not on web access at £3 a mb? You say text and web but did you change tariff by mistake?

I honestly can't remember which competion it was, I think it was at a car show, I cleared the number out a long time ago!
I don't use the web as only have an old Sony Erricson K750i.
No it's definatly text and web, I just dialed the credit line and checked.

Well
You need to ask o2 again which number is using up your credit as the company has to request the money from o2. Or which service is draining your credit.

Ok I dialed the top-up service. Pushed 3 for current bolt ons. I was subscribed to MY O2 Numbers AND O2 messaging 200, I have now cancelled these, I checked my current tariff and am still on pay as you go text and web so wil hopefully still get my unlimited text messages. Hope this sorts it grin

You need to contact customer services about this not just checking your boltons unless they were costing you the ammount you were losing.
