Hi,

I am due an upgrade so thought I would get one now as O2 have the Disney+ offer. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20+ which I bought outright so am looking for a sim-only tariff. I found one that looked good, 100GB data, unlimited minutes & texts for £20 a month. I just don't know how I can tell if it's a 4G or 5G tariff. I want a 4G one as 5G signal in my area is very poor but I don't know how to check. Can't get through to anyone to check either.

It doesn't matter, even if the sim is a 5G sim and your phone is a 5G type you can still access the 4G. My phone is a 5G with a 5G phone and I still can use it to access 4G network so it is better to worry less

5g is enabled on all tariffs but it's your phone that determines what you can connect to.
If 5g signal is poor, just select 4g from your network settings.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
