Switching Simplicity tariff, keep existing Data bolt-on?

My Simplicity contract finished 18 months ago but I carried on with it because I had "Unlimited Data + Wi-Fi" bolt-on for £5.11 with no end date. I'd now like to switch to a iPhone Simplicity tariff but it seems I'll lose the unlimited data bolt-on and be forced to take out a more slightly more expensive (i.e. £6) data bolt-on but this is limited to 500MB. Anyone know of a way to switch tariff but keep existing bolt-ons? Thanks.

Unfortunately not as others have found to their cost. If you change tariff, you have to take one of the new data limits.

Thanks for the confirmation. Looks like I might be switching to GiffGaff or Tesco Mobile then (iPhone is currently locked to O2).

simplicity was good at first but since they introduced the data bolt ons, its a nuiscance because people have to add the bolt on to their existing contract or take out a new simplicity deal just to get the right data bolt on for their type of smartphone
